Your mission

We’re a fast-moving, lean EU team looking for a high-agency backend engineer based in Kosovo. We operate without bureaucracy or a "ticket factory" mentality. Our engineering structure is highly collaborative with zero middle management—you’ll work alongside our founder and other developers, report directly to the Head of Engineering, and own your product piece end-to-end.

What You'll Do

Own the backend: Drive features from architectural design and data modeling to deployment and monitoring.
Embrace the full stack: Our frontend and backend are tightly integrated. While your core focus is backend architecture, you shouldn't shy away from diving into the Next.js frontend to get a feature over the finish line.
Build async-first: Design highly scalable services, asynchronous APIs, and robust queueing systems.
Enforce quality: Champion strict static analysis, rigorous unit testing, and OpenAPI schemas for rock-solid API contracts.
Ship fast: Manage deployments using GitOps, containerization, and worker pools (Cloud Run).

Your profile

4–6+ years backend experience: Deep engineering fundamentals with strong expertise in TypeScript or Python.

High Agency: You don't wait for perfectly scoped tickets. You unblock yourself, make pragmatic decisions, and take extreme ownership.
Production chops: Proven track record with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and scaling APIs.
Infra fluency: Solid grasp of GitOps, containerization, and Serverless/Cloud Run environments.

Nice to Have

SaaS, logistics, or real-time systems background.
Familiarity with Prisma, WebSockets, or complex event patterns.
Experience building multi-agent LLM systems or AI integrations.
